Our team at Thetis IT implemented an innovative system for integrated management of public transport, traffic, and air quality control in China.
Leveraging Thetis IT's expertise, we developed this system for the Beijing Olympics as part of a Sino-Italian collaboration program under the Ministry of Environment.
When air pollution data collected by a network of fixed, mobile, and portable stations reaches a certain threshold, authorities can restrict access to the area within the city's second ring road.
As part of Thetis IT's innovative solutions, our traffic monitoring system at the second ring road counts and classifies vehicles using license plate recognition technology.
Air quality, traffic, and public transport data are collected in a data center and displayed within a GIS system, enabling cross-analysis and providing input for traffic and environmental model simulations.
The model we created at Thetis IT allows for the analysis of different scenarios, supporting authorities in making informed decisions on mobility issues.
Our public transport management system includes a control center with a video wall, operator workstations, and modular software for service planning and real-time monitoring of approximately 2,000 vehicles. These vehicles are equipped with on-board systems that interface with passenger audio and video information systems, passenger counting systems, bus stop information management, depot management, and certified reporting systems.
