Intelligent Traffic Management: Guiding Vehicles to Available Parking Spaces with Dynamic Messaging Systems
Our team at Thetis ITsecured a prestigious tender proposed by UNDP/GEF (United Nations Development Programme and Global Environmental Facility) in partnership with the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency. This project aimed to fund sustainable transport initiatives to reduce energy consumption and emissions, improve urban air quality, and enhance transport systems.
In this innovative project, we designed and implemented Variable Message Signs (VMS) for Cairo's city center, effectively guiding vehicles to available parking spaces nearby.
Leveraging our expertise in intelligent traffic management, we developed a VMS system comprising 14 strategically placed signs, seamlessly connected to 10 parking areas equipped with state-of-the-art vehicle counting systems.
